In line with NHS guidelines Biddlestone Health Group is now operating a telephone triage appointment system.

When you ring a receptionist will take your details and ask you breif reason about why you need to speak to a doctor, they will then arrange for the doctor to phone you back to discuss your symptoms and the best course of action.

Please note the doctor will try twice to make contact.

pregnant1Family Planning:

You may see your doctor for advice on any method and to obtain a prescription of the pill. The nurses can also do routine pill and coil checks and injections of Depo-Provera in their ordinary surgeries.

Morning-After Pill:

You will need to see Dr Robson Dr Tew Dr King or Dr Crook within three days to obtain this prescription. Please advise the  receptionist booking your appointment that you need to see the Doctor that day. This is now available free from certain local chemists 

Termination of Pregnancy:

Dr Robson, Dr Tew Dr King or Dr Crook will be happy to see patients who wish to discuss this. It is helpful if pregnancy has already been confirmed. 

pregnant11Ante-Natal Clinic:

Tuesday Morning 9.00 am to 4.00 pm with the Community Midwife.


To confirm pregnancy, please bring a fresh morning urine sample to reception for a pregnancy test, or you can make a Doctor’s appointment. 

Health Visitor Clinics:

Following the birth of a baby both the mother and baby will require a 8 week check with a GP. Letters will be sent for this and the first set of immunisations at 13 months and the pre school, booster at 4 years. 

Cervical Smears:

All women between the ages of 25 and 64 years should have a cervical smear every 3 years, unless advised otherwise. Please ask the doctor or nurse if you are not already on our recall system. This test is usually performed by the practice nurse. The relevant patients will be recalled every 3 years for ages 25-49 and 5 years for 50-60 tear olds.
