In line with NHS guidelines Biddlestone Health Group is now operating a telephone triage appointment system.

When you ring a receptionist will take your details and ask you breif reason about why you need to speak to a doctor, they will then arrange for the doctor to phone you back to discuss your symptoms and the best course of action.

Please note the doctor will try twice to make contact.

If you need to order your prescription you do this on our 24hour automated telephone line.  Please call 0191 2650785

Zero Tolerance

The partners value their nursing, reception, administrative and secretarial teams and as you are aware they are extremely busy and play an important role in our practice.

Whilst we appreciate that emotions sometimes run high, we do ask that you treat our team with respect and courtesy.

The Practice supports the NHS nationally agreed “Zero Tolerance Policy” which states that GPs and their staff have a right to care for others without fear of being attacked or abused.

Our staff are here to help and it is not acceptable to verbally or physically abuse members of the team. We have a zero tolerance policy for abuse and will remove any patient who is physically or verbally abusive or threatening towards staff or other patients from our list.

If removed from our list, the patient may be placed on the 'violent patient scheme' operated by NHS England Area Team.
