A CHILDREN'S GUIDE TO CORONAVIRUS
In line with NHS guidelines Biddlestone Health Group is now operating a telephone triage appointment system.
When you ring a receptionist will take your details and ask you breif reason about why you need to speak to a doctor, they will then arrange for the doctor to phone you back to discuss your symptoms and the best course of action.
Please note the doctor will try twice to make contact.
If you need to order your prescription you do this on our 24hour automated telephone line. Please call 0191 2650785
Repeat prescriptions are available after agreement with the doctor. Not all drugs are available this way.
If you have more than one repeat prescription it would be appreciated if you would order all of the medicines at the same time.
Patients on regular medication may be required to attend the surgery for regular check ups and this will be at the doctors discretion. The arrangement will last up to one year.
We will not issue antibiotics without seeing the patient.
Any request for medication which is not on your repeat list will have to be reviewed by a doctor in the first instance.
An ‘Emergency’ one month supply of contraception or HRT pills can be issued ‘to keep you going’ until you can attend in person.
Requests by Telephone - Please ring 0191 2650785 (This line is open 24 hours)
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
